Pretty Prita

• I just finished a novel from Andrei Aksana (Gramedia Book Fair, on sale with 20% discount) called Pretty Prita. It’s kewl really. I mean…good cover, I get free CD inside the book and a post card with pretty good-looking guy who happens to be the author.
  
  It’s about a man who is too alergic with girlish stuff. He always complains about his girl spending so much time on dressing up and make up, he is not into accompanying his girlfriend for shopping or body treatment in a salon or simple doesn’t get what is the connection with girls and novels! Till one day, his girlfriend made a wish to let him know what was it like to be a girl…voila…our hero Farell turned into Prita (now should we call it our heroine?) and would be free from the curse till he enjoyed his girlish life.
  
  Nice? Indeed! Just imagine a sexy babe with a guy soul inside? He got to feel the soar feet after whole day in her high heels, taste the pain of waxing her leg and ahem…some other part…and learn how to put on make up to attract guys.
  
  It’s very entertaining if you need a light reading book, no heavy stuff. The plot is just flowing like a river and it bring smiles to your face as you turn the pages.
  
  There are just several things in that book that really bothers me…
  
  When he woke up in the morning and finding himself with a pair of breast and loosing his manhood, Farell or Prita had to attend a meeting in 30mins. He was so confused seeing all the changes. No more minimalist design, instead it’s full of pinkish stuff and feminine touch, his maly car now become a Honda Jazz.. I suppose he should be confused…if everything changed, should nt he get a new office? But how come he knows his new office? Nobody give him the new office address and he reached the place right in time…how is it possible?
  
  There are some scene in the book where Prita still feel like a man, once she got slapped for touching a girl’s boobies and got herself to a cold war with her colleague because she kissed her on her lips. I mean…if she still have the urge for boobies, why not looking at her own ones? Isn’t it strange? You have a pair of it attached to your body and all you have to do is standing up in front of the mirror and do your full body examination, right? I just don’t get it why Prita prefer to get slapped if she can take a closer look at her own breasts?
  
  Then Prita finally met her Mr Right. Okay…she kissed a girl, touched boobies and felt attracted to Mr Right? Isn’t she suppose to be feeling awkward having a relationship with male? Since she’s not really a female…but she hit it off with him from the very start without any awfull weird feeling. So strange…
  
  Well…other than that…I still think it’s a good book, and I’d still recommend it to you for a lazy weekend reading, for man who wants to know how it’s like to be a girl and for girl who wants to know what’s inside a male’s mind!! And FYI it’s in Indonesian
  
  So just go to the nearest bookstore and grab it! I’m so open for good book recommendation guys…feel free to write me the list!
